Our ability to move with the times has already stood us, and our clients, in good stead for more than 200 years. We retain our traditional values and whilst we recognise the need for change, we remain committed to providing a full range of services in a professional manner, with a view to giving continuity of service tailored to our clients’ individual needs

Lindsey Fettes

Partner

Lindsey joined Wilsone & Duffus over 40 years ago. As well as handling the firm’s management from our Golden Square office, Lindsey still enjoys dealing with a range of legal work looking after individual clients’ needs, catering for all generations and is involved with more complicated Wills & Executry matters and Property transactions. She has in the past spent some years tutoring Post Graduate diploma Students at Aberdeen University, has obtained FPC level 3 qualifications, and following the introduction of new leasing regulations was awarded a Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Level 3 Certificate in Letting & Managing Residential Property in 2018.

Much of Lindsey’s spare time in recent years was devoted to Junior Chamber Aberdeen of which she is a past President. During her Presidency JCA were recognised as Best in the World and Lindsey herself as most outstanding President in Europe. She enjoys helping other people and is past Chairperson of Aberdeen Safer Community Trust. Her other interests include Golf and Music and she also enjoys gardening.

Karen Copland

Associate

An associate Solicitor, based in Golden Square, Karen has recently returned from a period of maternity leave. She initially worked at our firm as a student and after training with us, acted as valuable back up for our managing partner Lindsey Fettes whilst building up her own experience. She has gained STEP qualifications and now deals with a wide range of matters including property, executry, tax and matrimonial matters as well as employment settlement agreements all the time developing her own client base.

Executry Paralegal

Sarah joined our offices many years ago and has spent most of her time with us focussing on private client and executry work. She is a qualified paralegal, recognised by the Law Society for he abilities in relation to Wills and Executries She is largely based in our Golden Square office, not only dealing with Executry matters but also with Wills and Powers of Attorney helping out other offices too including in particular our Dyce Branch.

Chapel Street property staff

Our Chapel Street sales office is staffed by a team of helpful and approachable employees who offer good experience to assist with Property Valuations as well as sales procedures. Senior advisers Elizabeth Spence and Teresa Cox have around 40 years’ experience between them and are sharing this knowledge and experience with other team members, including Joan Holman and Diane Bean.
